One Color I Won't Use!

Yes, I love the color of the sun! I love sunshine! I will wear it! I will accessorize with it! But, you won't find yellow on my walls!

I love sunshiny days, just not sunshiny walls. Although this wallpaper (and probably many others) is very irresistible, it's just not me! But, I sure love it!! I admire those who love and decorate with every color, including yellow! It does bring sunshine into the home. It might be, for me, living in the south, we have plenty of sunny days, and scorching heat days, and there's no need for extra colors of the sun!! Nevertheless, I hope you have sunshine in your weekend days!! xo

  1. Happy weekend doll!! I understand what you mean...I don't think I'd have yellow on my walls, unless one of my daughter's wanted a yellow room & then it's ok for them. But, in any other rooms I wouldn't have it. I remember when I was younger my mom painted the bathroom 'yellowbrick road' yellow and it was so bright, I never had to turn the light on in the mornings, haha. She got tired of it quickly too and had to re-paint the bathroom, she never used yellow again, haha! So, I understand. I prefer to just BE sunny instead ;) Thank you for the heart-warming comment, it was so nice to read. You always say such lovely things to me :) I hope you have a gorgeous weekend, full of love and happiness xox

    1. Timbarika, you deserve ALL things LOVELY-whether by comment, by heart, or by tangibility!! You are SUNSHINE! And, I seriously meant what I say!!

I can identify with the yellow painted bathroom! My sweet mother was constantly updating our home for Christmas gatherings. One year, it was the YELLOW painted bathroom. :)

Much beauty and love wishes for your weekend, too!!! xoxo

    1. I agree, Frances! Yellow walls can be a bit harsh for those like us! However, white seems to be our choice of brightness in our days!! Hoping the your weekend is as lovely as your comment has made mine!! xoxo

  4. Hello Sunny Shelly! You are bright enough to not need any infusions of yellow in your home. :) Love it. When I was a little girl I got to choose my color scheme. My first-'70s-was lavender shag rug and wild floral wallpaper. In my early teens we redid it with blue and yellow french trellis type theme. So I guess I'm guilty of yellow but I never painted a bathroom yellow-NOPE and I never will.
    Fun post! Love the sharing!
    Happy weekend! xx, Heather

    1. Heather, you're so funny! I love the way you are so "yourself" when commenting and your personality is full of playfulness and genius! I have to admit to an actual yellow teen bedroom. We didn't have much choice. I didn't mind then. But, now, I don't think I will ever make a concerted choice to incorporate it in to my home. Happy and sunny weekend to you, Heather! xox
